What we keep, and why
WHO WE ARE
Snow Drop is made by Basicmeta Pte Ltd, in Singapore, which also runs householdtales.com. Write to info@basicmeta.com with any question about what we keep, or to have it removed.
WHAT WE KEEP
- A small cookie, so that this browser remembers her. It holds a random code and nothing else: there is no account and no password.
- Your adventure: where she is, what she has done and learnt, and when each choice was made.
- The address your browser connects from, its IP address, for 90 days, and the country that address suggests. After 90 days we keep only the country.
- What your browser says about itself: its name, its system, and whether it is a phone, a tablet or a computer.
- If you open the site without beginning an adventure, we count you once a day, by a code that cannot be traced back to you or followed from one day to the next.
- Your e-mail address, only if you give it to keep an adventure, with the time you gave it and whether you asked for news. It is stored encrypted.
WHY
To keep your adventure, and to bring it back on another device; to keep the game working and safe; to count how many people play, and to see where the story loses them; to tell you if a change to the game affects your adventure; and, only if you ticked the box, to tell you when a new chapter is released.
WHO ELSE SEES IT
Nobody but us. E-mails are sent through SendGrid, which delivers them for us. The game's typefaces come from Google Fonts, so your browser asks Google for them. There are no advertisements and no tracking scripts, and we sell nothing.
HOW TO LEAVE
On Save and resume you can stop keeping an adventure with your address, which deletes the address once no adventure is kept with it, or delete the adventure altogether. Every e-mail about new chapters carries a link to stop them. Clearing this site's cookies makes the browser forget her. For anything else, write to info@basicmeta.com.
